As ski season winds down on the East Coast, visitors to Killington, VT, are trying to carve out as much time on the mountain as possible. If you’re heading this way for a spring ski trip, understanding the differences between a Killington ski pass and daily lift tickets can help you plan a trip that maximizes your time and budget. In this article, we’ll cover the breakdown of your two main options for on-mountain fun, the best things to do for spring visitors, closing date details, and the top Killington vacation rentals that put you close to the slopes.

Article Summary:

How to Buy Killington’s Spring Ski Pass

Your Killington Spring Pass is valid from March 13, 2026, through the end of the season. All purchases must be made online via Killington Resort’s website. If you’re planning to ski more than four days of your trip, the spring pass makes the most sense, and you can find Killington Spring rentals that put you close to the slopes for even easier access each day.

What Are My Options for Spring Lift Tickets at Killington?

A Killington season pass isn’t the only way to get on the mountain. Daily lift tickets are also available and may be the better choice for your group. Here’s how the two compare:

Spring Ski Pass:

  • Price: 419
  • Time on Mountain: Unlimited from March 13 – season’s end
  • Not eligible for refunds or credit if canceled

Daily Lift Tickets:

  • Price: Dynamic. Price depends on date and length of booking window.
  • Time on Mountain: Tickets are valid only for specific dates
  • Eligible for refunds and credits if you have to cancel

Important Note – Your group’s age plays a part in the decision. If you’re traveling with children 12 years and younger, a complimentary lift ticket is included with each 5+ day adult lift ticket purchase. If you’re only visiting for a week and are traveling with kids, opting for daily lift tickets could be more cost-effective than a spring pass for everyone.

Each year, avid skiers and snowboarders who plan on multiple visits to Killington purchase the Beast 365 Pass. While more expensive, this option grants you unlimited access to lifts at both Killington and Pico mountains all season long. The Beast Pass ends each year, requiring renewal or purchase for the upcoming season.

Beast 365 Passes for the 2026/27 season go on sale in March 2026, and purchases can be made through early December.

When Does the Spring Ski Season End?

Killington has the longest ski season on the East Coast, typically running from November through May and sometimes into early June. Closing dates are typically announced in late April or early May.

When Does Killington Close for the Season - Historic Dates:

  • 2024/25 – May 11
  • 2023/24 – June 1
  • 2022/23 – June 1
  • 2021/22 – June 4
  • 2020/21 – May 16
