Killington in the Winter

The winter season in Vermont is a very popular time of year. Winter in Killington is beatuiful with its abundance of fresh snow. People who love to ski, Killington is perfect as it is home to the Killington Ski Resort, the largest ski resort on the East Coast! It features 200 slopes, 31 ski lifts and around 90 miles of beautiful terrain to enjoy. During the winter, you can experience some of the best skiing and snowboarding in the country.

Theres more than just skiing in Killington

Snowmobiling tours are available, allowing you to go on some of the best trails in the Unites States, which include the Vast Trail. Snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are also popular in the Killington region. Visit during any of the winter months for the full Killington outdoor adventure experience.

Other winter activities you can enjoy include: sleigh ridestheater, arts, shopping, snow tubing and more. You can also go ice skating or indoor rock climbing if you need a break from the outdoors. 

Killington in the Summer

During the summer there are also several things to do in Killington, VT. Mountain biking is extremely popular after the snow melts and we see the hint of green. You can take Gondola Rides, which run from 8am – 5pm to have access to those hot hiking areas. The ride will take you to the top of Killington Peak, which is 4,241 feet high.

You will be able experience beautiful views as you play on Killington's par 72 golf course, which is great for beginners to advanced golfers. Then there is the Green Mountain National. With itschallenging design features carved out of the majestic Green Mountains, their course offers solitude and a "private" golf experience that will challenge players of all abilities. 2. Back Behind Saloon-Winter Only
In the mood for barbecue? Head to Back Behind Saloon. All of their meats are prepared in-house, smoked for up to 12 hours, and are fall-off-the-bone tender. A myriad of handmade rubs and sauces make this the best place for BBQ in Killington.

3. The Garlic-Year Round
This Italian roadhouse has cozy booths and warm lighting that set the scene for a memorable dining experience. Guests can enjoy an extensive wine selection, innovative daily specials, and of course, lots of garlic!

Looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience? Head to the Ledgewood Yurt on Killington Mountain. Accessible only by sleigh, this unique eatery is located just off the Northbrook Trail and resembles a structure used by nomadic Mongolian tribes over 2,000 years ago. 

9. Casey's Caboose-Year Round
Casey's Caboose is one of Killington's best known eartery. From fresh seafood ranging from the daily oysters on the half shell, fish'n'chips and specials to locally caught Vermont lobster, amazing steaks, hand crafted gourmet burgers to some of the best craft beer selection around. They didn't forget about the kiddies either as they have a great menu just ofr them.

10. JAX Food & Games-Year Round Dinner-Games-Nightlife
Since opening over 10 years ago, Jax has become Killington’s hometown bar, offering weekly live entertainment, incredible food, locally crafted draft beer and a game room for all ages that will keep you entertained for hours! Open 7 days a week from 3pm to close!

 Liquid Art is run by a mixologist and barista and a chef specializing in healthy cooking.
With their cozy and warm environment filled with leather couches, build-in fireplace, and a saltwater reef aquarium, they are the best place to relax with a cup of joe or glass of wine. In addition to their signature cocktails and specialty espresso drinks, they also serve a Light Bites menu all day. The Light Bite menu offers something for everyone with many vegetarian options and daily specials that are all made with the freshest ingredients. 

13. McGrath's Irish Pub at the Inn at Long Trail-Year Round Lunch-Dinner Live Music
McGrath's Irish Pub at the Inn at Long Trail in Killington is the area's first and foremost Irish pub.
Run like a true family pub in Ireland, everybody is welcome, Grand kids to Grandparents.
Live Irish music is held on stage every weekend when open. Being the first to sell Guinness on draft in Vermont, the pub continues to sell the most as well.Come find out why. It is truly a fine pint!!

14. Killington Beer Company-Year Round-Pub/Tasting Room-Live Music-PET FREINDLY 
Killington Beer Company is located at 53 Woods Road, at the Spa building in the Woods Resort, Killington, Vermont. The facility opened for production in January of 2018. The brewery features a 4 barrel system which is capable of producing 125 gallons (about 55 cases) per brew. Beers are packaged in keg, cans, 22 ounce and special release bottle formats for distribution throughout the greater Killington area.

The brewery holds regular live music events and seminars. We are family friendly with food, soft drinks, and a spacious game room for our younger generation to enjoy!

Tours are available on Saturdays at 2:00 PM, first come, first served.
